Coach Johnathan Ramey joined the Ellsworth Community College football coaching staff in Spring 2018.  He will be working primarily with the Running Backs and Tight-Ends while also serving as the Video Coordinator for the Panthers.

Prior to joining the ECC staff, Ramey was the Offensive Coordinator and QB Coach in his hometown at Trinity High School (TX) for two seasons. Ramey also worked as the Football Video Coordinator in those two seasons. Before Trinity, Ramey began coaching at FCS startup program Houston Baptist University from 2012 through the winter of 2016. In his time at HBU, he worked as special assistant on the offensive side of ball in 2012 and 2013. In 2014, he became the Director of Football Operations and in 2015 he added Recruiting Coordinator to his title.

Born in Lufkin, TX, the east Texas native earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology: Wellness Management from HBU in 2013 and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction in 2016.
