The Ellsworth Community College men's basketball team won a close game on Saturday, Jan. 10, beating Iowa Central by a score of 77-67.
The Panthers were led by Trey Dilworth, who came off the bench with 17 points shooting 6 of 7 from the floor; he was also perfect from the freethrow line, making 4 of 4. ECC had three other players score in double figures: Justin McFadden scored 16, Kalehl Brown scored 12, and Kalund Brown scored 11. Kalehl also led the Panthers in rebounding (9) and assists (5). ECC dominated at the free throwline, shooting 81% (17 of 21) while Iowa Central shot only 50% from the line.
ECC also took home a win on Monday, Jan. 12 against Quakerdale winning 99-77.
The Panthers will be on the road for their next two games with Southwestern on Jan. 14 and Indian Hills on Jan. 17.
