ECC's Ciavy Wiles commits to Bethune-Cookman

Ellsworth Community College Panther wide receiver Ciavy Wiles has committed to transfer to Bethune–Cookman University for the Spring semester; he'll become a member of the Wildcats football team for the 2014 season.

"Ciavy was a physical presence on the field and was our play maker on offense," says ECC Head Football Coach Josh Lattimer. "He was a two-time All Conference player here at ECC, receiving 1st team honors his freshman year and honorable mention this season. He's a fine young man and will excel at Bethune–Cookman."

Wiles was a great offensive asset for the Panther football team this year. In the 10 games that he played in this season, he had 21 catches for 313 yards, averaging 14.9 yards per catch, with four touchdowns for ECC.

Bethune–Cookman University is part of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference and participates in NCAA Division I FCS.  The college is located in Daytona Beach, FL.

When asked about Bethune–Cookman, Wiles commented, "I wanted to find somewhere closer to my hometown. I am looking forward to competing for a starting spot for the Wildcats."

Wiles adds that he enjoyed his time while playing at ECC. "While playing at ECC I really appreciated all of the support from the professors and administration."
