Panther Baseball hosts skills camps in January and February

The Ellsworth Community College baseball team will be hosting a series of Winter Skills Camps emphasizing hitting, pitching and catching fundamentals for middle school and high school students. The camps will be held on three consecutive Sundays, Jan. 25, Feb. 1, and Feb. 8, from 11 am to 1:30 pm in the Dale Howard Family Activity Center on the ECC campus.

Campers (grades 5-12) will work on hitting in the morning from 11 am to noon and then pitchers and catchers will work from 12:30 to 1:30 pm. Players will be separated by age groups. The camps will be instructed by ECC Panther coaches and players. Participants should plan to eat before or after the camp, as a lunch break will not be provided.

Cost for the sessions is $75 for three hitting camps, $75 for three pitching/catching camps, $125 per player for both hitting and pitching/catching, or $25 per single day camp. Participants should bring their own gloves and bats, and wear running shoes, gym shorts and t-shirts. Helmets will be provided for those who don't bring their own.
